Dr. Adler's philosophy regarding facial plastic surgery relies in the fact that "Plastic surgery is performed to make people look natural, not artificial." People have many misconceptions regarding plastic surgery. When you leave a plastic surgeon's office you don't need to look like you had plastic surgery. The mark of great surgery is the surgery that you cannot see in the patient's face but see a drastic change when comparing before and after pictures. The goal of plastic surgery is to make you look softer, refreshed, less tired, and as a result of these you look younger. Removing every line or fold on the face only leads to an artificial, pulled, and "plastic look"; that is what plastic surgery should not accomplish.
