Postoperative Instructions

DO:  Clean suture lines with hydrogen peroxide and a Q-tip 6 times a day.
DO:  Apply Bacitracin or Neosporin ointment to suture lines following cleaning 6 times a day.
DO:  Wear a stocking cap or head band pulled over your ears while you are sleeping for 2 weeks following surgery.
DO:  Sleep with the head of bed elevated 30-40 degrees or in a recliner.
DO:  Wash hair with Baby Johnson’s Shampoo for 1 week.
DO:  Notify us of any excessive swelling, redness or discomfort.

DO NOT:  Pull ears forward under any circumstances.
DO NOT:  Wear earrings for 2 weeks.
DO NOT:  Sleep on your ears for 3 weeks.
